It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elinor Marion Pennell, a beloved International Mission Board missionary emeritus, on June 9, 2023, in Savannah, Georgia. Born in 1931, Marion lived a life filled with purpose, passion, and unwavering faith.

During her missionary service, Marion touched countless lives in the Philippines and Indonesia, sharing the gospel with dedication and compassion. Upon her retirement, she found solace and fulfillment in painting and writing, creating stunning works of art that reflected her deep appreciation for beauty and the human spirit.

Marion had a special fondness for Bruce Springsteen, attending his concerts a remarkable 31 times. Her love for music extended to all genres, and she enjoyed sharing her passion with others.

Marion's artistic legacy lives on through her extensive inventory of original paintings on canvas that are now available for sale. Each piece is a testament to her exceptional talent, keen eye for detail, and heartfelt expression.
